Since I always love when you bloggers share what you are reading off-line, I thought I would do my own booklist.

Ha, I can never comment properly on book posts because I have too many opinionated opinions! But definitely get to Moby Dick — it, along with Portrait of a Lady and Bleak House and To the Lighthouse and Brothers K and Middlemarch are probably among the top ten fiction reads for this girl.
And Moby is probably number one.
I prefer W&P to Anna (you can skip most of the battle scenes), but most people disagree with me!
Totally love Anne of Green Gables, The Awakening, and Rebecca, which I read for fun almost every summer!
Hooray for Diet for a New America. That, and the China Study, are my two favorite nutrition reads.
I was dubious about 7 Habits of HEP, but I have to say, the prose was pretty lucid and it’s a good polemic.
Thanks for sharing your list!!

Great list!! The Giver is hands down one of my favorite books EVER – they’re making it into a movie so hopefully they won’t ruin it
I’m a history nerd so I may have to check out A People’s History.

I just found your blog from VeggieGirl’s and this post totally caught me. Let me know of any of the practical books you recommend most! I just posted up a question on this one – http://www.onefrugalfoodie.com/2009/07/13/this-inquiring-mind-wants-to-know-what-foodie-health-books-do-you-recommend/
