↓Stuff I love and hate and everything in between. In progress…
Hits! (denoted by a ↑) (R denotes full review, B denotes link to purchase)
Appliances:
↑Vent Box-I can find these on the web, but they are the most amazing food storage containers ever. I know some people don’t like to nuke plastic, but with these I will take my chances. They have a little plastic tab on the lid, giving the container an air hole, so you don’t warp the container and your food steams and reheats perfectly every time!
↑Kardea Bars (R) With the exception of lemon ginger, I found all of these flavors incredibly fresh and natural tasting.
↑Keribar (R) Yummy, healthy!
↑Pure Bars (B)-decent alternative to lara, organic to boot.
↑Kashi TLC Crunchy Caramel Chocolate-(B) the only one I like from this line, but It is a great sweet, crunchy, high volume snack option. (pic above)
↑Kashi TLC Chewy (B) Peanut Peanut Butter-a tad sweet, but one of my classic go tos! I consider these a nutritional upgrade from my childhood natural valley bars.
↑ Clif Kids Zbars-(B) I have found Luna and Clif Bars to be a little to sweet or protien-tasting, but these Clif Kids Z Bars really hit the bar. I have really liked all the flavors I have tried so far, and I think the Peanut Butter Chocolate is one of my favorite bars of all time. (pic above)
↑ Larabars (B) I have been enjoying these ubernatural line of bars as a snacktime staple since ‘05 and my favorite flavors remain the same: Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, Chocolate Mole. yum-o (pic above)
↑Weil by Nature’s Path Organic Banana Manna Pure Fruit and Nut Bar. (R) Oh my god, I am not even a banana bread lover and this all natural bar from heaven has made me a believer.
Food:
↑Vermont Company Breads-I have been a soft whole wheat devotee for about a decade. I find ezekiel breads a bit dry, so these are a great all natural alternative. They have sprouted and organic options and come in a range of varities from Sunflower Sesame to Spelt to Old Style Rye.
↑Kollar Cookies (B)-simple, pure and one of the best ingredient lists around, wheat free, dairy free and sweetened with maple syrup. These cookies are my upgrade from Natural Creations cookie line, a truly healthy indulgence. (pic above)
Misses! (denoted by a ↓)
Bars:
↓Greens+ Chocolate and Peanut Butter Energy Bars-(B) taste like moldy alfalfa sprouts to me–Why did I pay $3 a bar? These went directly to the trash after bite one.
↓ Potent Foods Organic Maca Bars-(B) Chocolate Cherry Chunk and Maple Chunk Fudge -weird chucks of crystalized maple in both bars made it impossible to get through a second bite-which means they were 1/2 bite better than the disastorous greens+ bars experience. Too bad, the ingredient list was stellar.
↓Kashi TLC Crunchy Coffee Cake-(B) WAY to sweet
↓Kashi TLC Chocolate Almond-ehhh, wouldn’t buy it again.
↓Quaker True Delight Dark Chocolate Raspberry-the flavor was overpoweringly sweet and artificial. Plus, the ingredients weren’t blowing me over either.

I absolutely love Z bars! When I am craving a candy bar, I reach for the chocolate brownie flavored z bar and it does the trick. Try putting them in the microwave for 10 seconds and it actually tastes like a warm brownie!
